An Adults Tale

Slimy Bob the guinea pig had tried hundreds of dating sites in the past, but never had he found a partner on any of them. But this new dating service was special, oh yes! He knew it in his blood, Guineas Reunited was the dating site for him!

He squinted at the screen with his particularly bad eyesight, trying to make out what these dating siteswere trying to tell him. After about five seconds he gave up, and wandered off to find himself a bit of fast food, perhaps some hay or a crunchy bit of carrot. Slimy Bob was very passionate about his food, especially when it came to root vegetables. He could tell a rotten root with mere touch of his paw, or a twitch of his whiskers.

Anyway, Slimy Bob bumbled his way down to the kitchen and peered into the fridge. It would be a lot easier for him to find the food if only he could see it! As it was all he could see was a blur of colour.

At that moment, Squitty Jo, who was a rabbit and one of Slimy Bob's best friends, decided to let himself in.

'Oy, Robert,' called the bunny, bouncing down the corridor, 'I have a bunch of brand new dating sites for you to try out. You want to hear about them?'

'No!' sniffed Slimy, who was in a very bad mood since hadn't been able to locate the carrots, 'I hate dating sites! I don't want to see another one ever again! Anyway, Squitty old buddy, can you help me out a moment?'

Squitty bounded over and enquired as to what he could do to help for his dearest friend. Slimy explained his problem and asked the rabbit if he could locate the carrots for him.

All of a sudden Squitty Jo seemed rather shifty. Was that a carrot top poking its little head out of his mouth? Jo explained that he couldn't see the carrots anywhere, and that he'd never seen a carrot, not ever in his life, and he'd certainly never eaten one, no no no! And suddenly he was off, sprinting away into the distance.

Slimy scratched his head, which is rather difficult for a guinea pig. He had no idea what was up with Squitty today! And not a carrot in sight! Today was reallynot shaping up to be a good day...
