An Adults Tale

I first started dating men when I was about 19. I had boyfriends at school but they were just little school crushes that only lasted about 2 weeks at a time.

My first love was when I was 20, with a guy who lived down the road from me. He had lived there all his life, yet I had never seen him before. We were together for 2 and a half years. After him I was heart broken but got myself back out there and started dating men again. I had a series of relationships but didn't really fall for any of them, so I decided to try Internet dating.

I was intrigued by the whole Internet dating thing and it was good fun. I was able to learn about the person a bit before deciding to meet them, which was a good thing, as I did have a tendency to go for the bad boy type.

After a few weeks dating men whom I'd met on the website I went on a date with my, now fiance. We had a lovely first date, time flew by and before we knew it, it was time for me to go home. We had a cuddle and a kiss on the door step and in I went. It was so sweet and romantic. I couldn't wait to tell my friends the next day at work.

I didn't want to commit myself to him, as we had only been out on 1 date, even though it went really well, I was a bit worried that things might not work out, so I kept myself open for dating men from the website, even though I did not actually date anyone at that time, other than him.

2 weeks later we went out for a romantic meal and went to watch a play after. It was a lovely night and I felt so happy. I love it when you're just getting to know someone and every thing is all new and sweet. Getting butterflies every time we kissed, it was great. That night he asked me what was going on between us, was it a fling or something serious? I blushed and didn't really know what to say. He then held my hand and asked me if I would be his girlfriend. I thought it was so cute! I had to say yes, and I am so glad I did. We have been together for nearly 4 years now and are planning to get married in 2 years time.
